I was just wondering a couple of things, Like how to make a counter on page1 that starts at a number you give it, say 500, and then after that it goes up by a number you choose, say 100, every hour. It should be in text so people cant mess round with it and could maybe have a drop down menu beside it and when you chose an option in the menu, it would reset the hour timer and start going up by the number selected in the menu, so if you selected Five-Hundred in the menu it would go up 500 per hour instaid of 100. Then someone clicks on a link that is specialy designed, on page2, and it would put a word undearneath the counter on page1, maybe the word Six then the counter wouldent reset the hour timer, but then start going up by whatever the drop down menu says PLUS the word thats underneath the counter.
For the hour bit, i just need it to update itself by whatever number every hour, kinda like it has its own 1 hour timer that updates this counter every hour, so it looks the same for everyone who goes onto the page. Lets say i set this counter to 500, on the page in text it would have the number 500 for everyone to see, and as soon as i updated the page to put the code onto the page it would have a 1 hour timer on it, once that one hour timer goes off and i came back after that timer went off, the text would now say, 600, and i didnt have to do anything, it automaticaly does it itself, everyone else who saw the 500 then came back and saw 600 would think i actualy went in, and changed the text to 600, even though it was automatic.
Id really apreciate it if anyone could help me out with this as i dont know php myself, thanks 🙂
