When was the last time you did a cannonball?

I was swimming with my 6 year old this weekend, and taught him to do cannonballs, and did a few myself, and realized, I hadn't done one in years. We rocked the pool a bit before stopping. he kept yelling for me to watch him, and jumping in, and it was so magical watching his wonder and joy at something so simple, something we mostly take for granted, doing a cannonball for the first time.

So, when was your last time?

Oh man, the weather's been great hasn't it? I went up to Lost Park and camped out this weekend with my puppy and a keg of homebrew. Was supposed to go with some family from Aurora but they had to back out at the last minute. It rained for a couple hours Sat night, but all was still good.

I did quite a few cannonballs last year at the Flashkit conference in San Jose. We were a bit toasted and had a make shift diving contest. A very scary sight 😃

I tend to rock the pool with whoever I go to the pool with every summer, but since I've moved in with my mom, I doubt that'll happen as much. (We'll probably end up going to the lake more.)

So, last summer some time, unless I've done it on dry land sometime...

Nope, some of us aren't that coordinated 🙂 We had a pool growing up, too. Go figure.
And yes, I could still do a cannonball- but it would be what I did after the cannonball that would not be pleasant. As in thrash about maniacally for help. 🙂

wow. I'm down here in Centennial (because Denver just doesn't have enough burroughs. ;-) and work in the tech center. We spent the whole weekend at the pool, relaxing, after going to Elitches friday. I drove up to Thornton to get the boys and it took a little over two hourse to cover the 23 miles up there, and then back down to Elitches took another full hour.

I hate labor day weekend traffic.

Think I'll go camping at duck creek this weekend and hit Abasin in the afternoons.

and be nice to Elizabeth, she may be a stalker, but she's OUR stalker and we all love her just the same. From a distance of 50 yards. 😉

Aw, shucks sxoot- thanks! Good thing I have these peeping tom binoculars (or binoculators as my daughter calls them) and a GPS system in my watch... You did a great cannonball the other day, btw.
