Does anyone know when there will be a UK PHP Conference (London preferably) or where I could find out about them?
Thanks

I think it would be great to have a conference in Harrogate, UK. It's got the 3rd biggest conference/exhibition facilities in the country, it hosts the 2nd biggest toy fair in the world every year and the conference centre hosted the eurovision song contest back in the 80's.

It's got loads of really nice hotels, lots of night life, loads of shops and generally looks nice too. Easy to get to. In between London and Edinborough.

So if your looking for somewhere to host a PHP conference, go to Harrogate.

It'd be on the right side of the PHP.net webpage, and I don't see one there. So I don't think there's an organized one there any time soon (before August).

I emailed the PHP-Con team and this is the reply I got back:

        Hi Piers,

I'm the conference director for PHPCon so, yeah, I guess I'm the right
        person to ask. ;-)

We are looking to take PHPCon international at some point and the UK
is one of the spots we are looking at. There are a lot of unknowns
about the PHP European audience, however. Now that there are two Int'l
PHP Conferences (Amsterdam & Frankfurt) there is some concern that the
UK people will go to those since they are more established in
Europe. I also need to learn a great deal more about the region, for
example, I don't really know how easy it is for someone in the UK to
hop over the continent for conference.

So, we are looking into it. Will it happen this year? I really don't
        know yet.

        Be well,

So it doesn't look like there's gonna be an conferences here for a while 🙁

On a totally unrelated point, OhLordy, where abouts in Surrey are you from?
