resultset printout

I am sure this is something simple that I am just making complicated, but anyways hope you can help.

I have a SELECT statement that LEFT JOINS a table and returns a resultset that looks like this.

| id_amdf | Company | State |
+++++++++++++++++++++
| 200001 | AFL | VA
| 200001 | AGA | VA
| 200001 | AGF | OH
| 200001 | AGL | VA
| 200001 | AGL | MD
| 200001 | AIL | VA
| 200001 | ALA | VA
| 200001 | AMX | VA
+++++++++++++++++++++

With this I am trying to print out the results in this arrangment.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Company Name States Located
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
AFL VA
AGA VA
AGF OH
AGL VA, MD
AIL VA
ALA VA
AMX VA
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If the company is located in two states then dont print the information twice just put all the states in that same table cell.

Do this with the php

<?
$store=array();
while($row=mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
  if(array_key_exists($row['company'],$store) {
    $store[$row['company']].=", ".$row['state'];
} else {
    $store[$row['company']]=$row['state'];
}
}
?>

At the end of this $store will be an array with keys by the name of the companies and a comma spaced set of values for the states

there is a row printout on every loop and i have to have someway of stoping the printout until all the states have been accounted for.
