PHP blocked?

I left my computer on in my office, which connects to a static IP of 198.108.102.145

I can open both http://198.108.102.145/ and http://198.108.102.145/vbfiles (a PHP project) from my home yesterday. But I was only able to open the first one today.

Can someone tell me what is the possible reason??

your apache config is wrong i think... i'm not an apache user, but when i go to the second of those urls, it redirects me to http://localhost/vbfiles/ - localhost is always the url of the local machine, so when i am redirected to that, it is looking for the /vbfiles/ dir on my machine, not yours.

I see. that is odd though, because I didn't change any Apache configuration while it worked yesterday.

you try restarting Apache?

or maybe the machine?

Hi,

if you use http://198.108.102.145/vbfiles/ it works (trailing slash).
This is a known problem, you have to check your apache configuration.

I don't remember the solution exactly now but you can find it in the apache documentation 🙂

It's the canonical name parameter,

set UseCanonicalName Off in your httpd.conf and it should work 🙂
