You will have to upgrade by one of two methods:
1) Find an RPM somewhere and update with that;
2) Uninstall the RPM and compile your own module.
The RPM will be the easier path assuming that you can find an RPM from a trusted source.
Uninstalling the RPM that is already there can have some unwanted side-effects. If you have installed any other packages that rely on that RPM, they may be removed or rendered broken by the uninstall. Since I use Ximian's Red-Carpet (www.ximian.com), it automatically uninstalled the dependent packages (and let me know which ones they were). If you just uninstall the RPM and want to leave the other packages you will need to install your files in the same place that the other packages expect to find them (or "in such a way so that the other packages can find them.")

I highly recommend Ximian's Red Carpet which can check for all packages that need updating and update them in a few clicks.
