I am trying to learn the IMAP functions in PHP , but I'm not sure what mail server I should use. This isn't for production, so my main concerns are installation & config difficulty. Any one have advise?
I would rather do this in windows because it would be easier then Linux would be while I am learning, but I have mandrake on my second drive, and I also have new redhat, slackware and debian .iso sets. Should I just stick with Windows, or would it be easier overall to go with Linux. If Linux, which distro?
