PHP ini and an error msg.

Hi, after installing a new PHP 4.3.1 the PHP.ini line:

display_errors =

was set to off, on my test server (WinXP) I like to have this set to on, so I did.

But now some of my pages returns this error:

Notice: Undefined index: userid in C:\ ... on line 7

this is line 7 of my code:

$userid = $_POST['userid'];

can anyone explain why, please

Guess that it is just a notice that doesnt affect the working of your applicaiton.

You can turn this off and just displaying certain kind of errors (for instance, parse error) by editing your php.ini file at these lines:

; Examples:

;   - Show all errors, except for notices
;
error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE
;
;   - Show only errors
;
;error_reporting = E_COMPILE_ERROR|E_ERROR|E_CORE_ERROR
;
;   - Show all errors

Are you actually POSTing the variable 'userid' to that page?
