Php.ini is ignored ??

I'm trying to load the oracle extension modules within the php.ini file however I've noticed after using phphinfo() to look at the PHP settings that non of the php.ini settings are being read ?? all the directory paths for the extensions, include etc are not what I've defined in the php.ini file. The path php is using for the php.ini file is correct according to the phpinfo() output.. so what on earth is happening ???? I totally bewildered by this

I'm running Apache server, php version 4.3 on an XP platform, I have stopped and restarted Apache on numerous occasion to no effect on the PHP settings. Any ideas as to how to get the .ini file used would be really apreciated

Hi,

were did you put php.ini to ? You might need to put it into the windows directory.

Yep I've put it in the C:/WINDOWS directory, and that is where phpinfo() says it is looking for it ??

This might be a silly question but did you uncomment those lines by removing the ; in front of them ?

Yes I removed the ; infront of the Oracle extensions and just altered other values not previously commented out to see if there was any difference made to those values, but nothing has changed, it appears there seems to be a default set using "PHP4" as directory names and there is'nt a single "PHP4" string in the php.ini file, so i don't know where it's getting the values from ??
