why do I sometimes get a blank background

I'm laoding variable then shuffling them then picking array[0] and using that as my background image. But sometimes there is no backgroud image. Why is this?

here's the code

$pictures = array("dollar1.gif", "dollar2.gif", "dollar3.gif", "dolllar4.gif", "dollar5.gif", "dollar6.gif" , "dollar7.gif" , "dollar8.gif", "dollar9.gif");
shuffle($pictures);

echo "<body leftmargin='0' topmargin='0' marginwidth='0' marginheight='0' bgcolor='#F1C3EB' background='images/backgrounds/".$pictures[0]."'>";

?>

I have exactly 9 dollar images.

the only one that came up blank was dollar4.gif, so i did

images/backgrounds/dollar4.gif

to see if it was on the server and it isn't

but when i did

images/backgrounds/dollar6.gif

it was, so what i am getting at, is that your dollar4.gif isn't up on the server
