force download

hi! can i baypass the dialog window and automatically download the file. the script will run inside our intranet and users will be aware of this download. is this possible?

Hi,

that is not possible, at least not without some kind of applet or stuff like that but even then this is not an easy task.

The problem with bypassing the download window would also be to specify the directory the file should be downloaded to. The users might want to download it to different locations. You can't specify by the server side to which location the file should be downloaded.
