passing variables in softcart checkout.

I have a client who is using mercantec's softcart for his shopping cart. His bank is requiring that he show a confirmation page bewteen checkout and the final order submission.

I created a simple form that grabs the checkout form variables via $_POST. It works fine outside of the shopping cart, but when I insert the page into softcart, the variables aren't being passed through. I think that I may need to change the action of the form to include a setting of theirs, but I don't know what.

Does anyone have experience with this horrid software. I can't find support regarding this specific problem anywhere and mercantec has been slow to respond.

I know that this is not directly answering your question, but it sounds to me that you are trying to pass data that should be highly secure over POST multiple times. despite how great SSL is I do not reccomend doing this, in contrast you could store the information in a database (preferably MySQL) and pull them out when/where they are needed... I know this is probably a huge rewrite, but you clients security should be of highest importance
