Hi all,
I've just put up a PHP/mySQL singles site script (which I wasn't talented enough to write) at http://www.adventistonline.com . I've tweaked it a bit and it is a pretty good little script but as I want to change this into a pay site once I reach 'critical mass', I need to prevent users from writing contact information in their profiles or in the messages that they send to each other. I'll need to block the obvious URL's as well as the trickier 'me at yahoo dot calm' variety. What's the best approach to do this?
Objectives:
-Never allow contact info to be included in a profile
-not allow any contact info to be sent in messages when being sent to a 'Free Member'.
-ALLOW information to be passed from a 'Paid Member' to another 'Paid Member.'
-scan all new database entries as well as scanning legacy data from earlier site users.
-automate a warning letter to site admin and the offending user when their input violates the 'no contact info' rule.
What's the best strategy to take to get this done?
Thanks!
Clark
