I am kind of puzzled. I have php, apache, and mysql working on several servers without issue, but it seems that when I installed a new server that has apache 2.x on it, I can no longer post to the database or post variables to another page....is there something I need to do to get this to work?

Apache 2.x
MySQL 3.23.5x
PHP 4.22.x

Here is what I found....I remembered someone saying something about register globals....I turned it on in php.ini and now I can see my variables in the receiving pages and hopefully can now post to a database.

Is there a workaround or something I have to do in my forms to not use register globals because some say there is a problem with that....?

Use either the function extract() to extract all variables submitted, or just $POST['variablename'] / $GET['variablename']to call individual variables.
