Hi, I set up virtual domains, PostFix, and IMAPD all perfect no errors, I can receieve e-mail and send e-mail but the trouble is:
For every e-mail account I set up, I set up a system user named something like this: user@theirdomain.com
and I tell them to log into webmail and ftp like that, but the thing is when they log into webmail, they can send e-mail and it appears as if it is from that address, but they cant receieve e-mail. I am mapping using virtual domains like this:
Name: user@theirdomain.com
Map To: user@theirdomain.com (system user name)
But it always says user cannot be found or something like that.
If I just add "user" as username when they send an e-mail it is like: user@defaultdomain.com default domain meaning default domain of my system. How do I fix this or correct the way I was trying to do it before? Can somebody give me some advices etc?? This is really frustrating trying to get this and Ive tried in so many ways, please somebody help me out by telling me what is the best way to set up users for accounts and fto maybe.
I also have a IMAP server and according to SquirrelMail, it works, but the problem is I cant login to it through outlook, I have system users set up like stated above and I connect to
mail.mydomain.com
but outlook gives me all these errors about no being able to connect to server and I enter username just like:
user: username (just like it in system users, without @domain.com)
Does anybody know the problem, please help!
