Selecting Data in Combo Box

Hello there,

I'd like my page to do this:
1) List the current Events in a combo box
2) When the user chooses an Event, then the text area next to it populates with all the Guests associated with that Event.
3) The user can update the Guests' names, delete them, whatever they'd like and then save all the guests again.

Basically, it's linking the Event with the Guests

My Question is:

1) In PHP, how do I choose the selected event and associate it with the text in the textarea next to it? I can make the table fine, I just don't know how to write the SQL to select the data in the combo box since it has a list of other events in the combo box too and then write the INSERT statement.

I think you might be getting a little confused between what PHP can do at the server, and what Javascript (or VBScript) can do at the client. If not, you will have to be clearer stating your problem.
