Redirection based on input

When a user logs in to my system, their details are pulled from the database. For example. I am using gender and the two possible answers are male/ female. What I want to do is if the user is a female. they are redirected to a specially designed page for the women and the same for the men....... Im kinda getting confused by this now. PLEASE HELP.
