I want to store maybe 3000 characters of text in my database, varchar etc are too small so i tried using blob, the data is not being stored or retrieved in the database?

Hi,

If you are using blob/text type colum, the data should be stored, although for long entries maybe truncated. So I think there might be a problem in the insert command, more then the type?

I have set up this table to start using varchar and restricting the text to 100 chars this works fine, as soon as i use blob it will not hold any data, i used phpmyadmin to set up the table, is there any adjustments i need to make to the blob settings?

phpmyadmin, in newer versions, won't show you the contents of BLOB columns. if you want to see the entries in phpmyadmin, try TEXT as column type.
