Decimal do binary and binary to decimal

1. I've got a digit from 1 do 255. And I want to convert it into binary representation. (like 10101011.....)

2. I've got a 4 digit binary number and I want to convert it into decimal representation.

Any ideas (code) ? 🙂

oh, I need it hardcoded - no decbin() or bindec()

Why no functions? Is this a school project?

Hint use the SHIFT and the AND and OR bitwise operators to do what you want.

Awww... but then I'd be depriving you of developing your own analytical and problem solving skills, especially in a problem that deals with the machine at the bit level.

Besides, if it IS a school project (is it?), then you'd be handing in someone else's work as your own and that wouldn't be very integrous, would it?
