zip files in directory and download

is this possible to zip the whole directory and download?

like example i have my directory from c:\server\htdocs\files and i have 10 files from thats directory like file1 to file10 and i want t download it in a single file like i want it to be in zip format can this be possible coz i havent tried zipping file from PHP script and maybe if u know about this can u let me know where can i read info's and maybe u alerady have the script can u share pls badly needed.

by the way i am using linux webserver i just used c:\ just to define that it is on the directory

Umm... you aren't using linux if your directory structure appears like drive:\folder. You're on a Windows system if that's how your directory structure is.

Anyways, refer to this document about creating ZIP files.
