form question logic idea...???

hey all...

i am building a rather complex form...and i'd like to make it as dynamic as possible...currently i have four separate scripts each for one particular service...however, they all use the same table even though they have differing pieces of information...

example...

table fields - a, b, c, d, e, f

form 1 uses fields - a, c, f
form 2 uses fields - a, b, d, e
form 3 uses fields - b, c, e
and so on...

what i want to do is create only one form that will bring up the required fields for entry...but i'm not sure what the best way is to do this...

the forms themselves are getting quite large, over 20kb...if i were to put them all together that's a really large file...so i'm not sure if simply using if/else type conditions in just one file (excuse me, i'm not so great with exact terminologies) would be appropriate...

and then i'll need to repeat these methods in the edit and review pages as well...

any ideas would be mucho appreciado...

not quite sure how much i can help, but here's a little tip...

it doesn't matter how big the form is - if you are using conditionals (if...then etc) then not all the output will go to the browser. You may have a 20kb php file, but the output to the browser is probably only 4-5kb or something.

yeah...i know...

it just seemed that else/if, etc was just too simple...but with a combination of some smart includes i've reduced the number of files i was possibly going to create many times...

simple is best...i'll just stick with that...
