I want to get the string between 4th and 5th slash in a given expression whose sturuture will be like
/cs/op/iocs/iocea1/config/config.rb

length of words between slashes could be of any length and it os sure that tehre would be 6 slashes and six words between those slashes.

You could try using explode()
