String To Array Then Replace and Back to String

I am new to PHP and I have tried my hardest to find the answers in the manual. My goal is to take a string:

"Private Sub Jeremy()"

Split it by " " and make it into an array. I have tried explode and preg_split but obviously I'm doing something wrong. Once I have an array, I need to take each item in the array and see if that value is in another array. If it is, replace it with a colored version of itself. I guess I need a better understanding of three things:

1) How to split a string based on a delimiter and store each portion in an array

2) Do a For Loop

3) Compare current item to the keyword array. If it's found, replace it with an HTML markup of it with color.

I know that it seems easy but I'm new and I'd like some help. Thanks, Jeremy

You know...I found it out on my own. Funny thing is that when you develop with PHP, everyone says RTFM or something to that nature. No one did that when developing in Java or Visual Basic or any other language I've written in. No worries, I got the answer shortly before you posted and it was due to my not reading deeper into the comments. Thanks, Jeremy

because all the information, techniques, solutions are already inside the Php manual. they spend years to develop those nice manual.

RTFM may be harsh, but that is the fact, everybody should have a php manual as a reference before they posting a help request.

we are not saying we don't want to help, but sometime, what people want to know is already beside them, but they keep yelling for help. is it funny ?

it is a situation like, you are having a lot of money, but u keep saying you are hungry, where the restaurant is just beside you...

I'm sorry for appearing angry and you are right, the answers are usually there. I just have to admit, for a new PHP developer, it's very hard getting the run-around when the answer is only a few lines of code. The manual is a must have and is a necessity but when reading the manual and browsing through the many, many comments, it's hard to see the answer sometimes. I had been to all pages you suggested, that's how I knew the proper term, but I just didn't see the answer in front of me. Once again, I apologize if I came across angry. Later, Jeremy
