What's your most exhilirating experience?

Bit of a personal one I know but hey this is an friendly place.

Mine? Standing at (nearly) 6000 metres on the top (my lungs didn't hold out to be able to get up the last 200 metres) of Mt. Cotapaxi in Ecuador at 7am on a beautiful Thursday morning in 1996. The closest point to the sun I'm told. An absolutely unforgettable experience.

Watching his head crown, then cutting the cord when my son was born. August 29 1991.

Doing the same thing again September 18 1996 for my second son.

Doing 120 Mph in the straights and 90 or so in the turns going down debeque canyon in western CO heading towards GJ.

i'm too young for having children, i don't have money to go to colorado, i never climbed a high mountain....

well.... i think i haven't done anything!! 🙁

but i enjoy a lot with my friends, i love them all very much. It is some kind of "well distributed exhilirating experience along the time". (when i say love them all is not any kind of orgy)

Hey! You're in Spain. That's where my first son was born. Odd coincidence eh?

You have friends who love you.

All you have to do is hop on a train and you can go from the mountains to the ocean in half a day.

And of course, a 1/4 pounder is called a Royale. hehe :-)

Walking a trail around WinterPark, Co. across the Rocky Mountains in winter for 6 hours without a visible trail or map. All burried under snow. And then seeing the first houses..

In 1995 I was at the game where my New Jersey Devils won The Stanley Cup. Later that year I got to have my picture taken with The Cup.

In 2000, they did it again.
In 2002, My son was born. This is #1 on the list, but I'm going in chronological order.

Hopefully, within the next few days, my team will once again be winning that trophy.

oh yeah, one other that I can't remember exactly when it happened, but 5 years ago I wrote my first application with perl, I was quite proud of myself.

2 years later I did the same thing using PHP.

As a mom, "exhilarating" isn't a word I would use to describe childbirth- more like "ouch" or "give me drugs NOW!" 😃 No seriously- that would be at the top of the list.

Also:
-Getting proposed to
-Walking down the aisle
-Driving on "GoingToTheSun" Road in Glacier National Park, Montana
-Several motorcycle trips taken with said husband, although I don't ride anymore. Especially liked taming "the Dragon" at Deal's Gap, North Carolina - 318 curves in the first 11 miles... that'll get your heart pumping, especially on a bike.
-The last final of the last class of my college education.

well i don't like McDonald's nor have seen pulp fiction... but in spain
we call a 1/4 pounder "cuarto de libra" (a literal traduction). LoL

Well, I'd have to check in with the "having sons" thing too. Another child is due November-December. I'll send a cig to Stolzy, mebbe? What were we doing on Valentine's day, anyhow? 😉

Then, there was the honeymoon, 15 years ago last week, that got it all started... 😉

Lemme see, also survived a couple car wrecks and near drowning. I thank God for life, and it's pretty much exhilirating all the time for me.

However, the mountain thing is real good, dartcol....I think old "Glorieta Baldy" near Santa Fe is as high and exhilirated as I ever got, speaking in alpine terms... 🙂

Arriving home after being in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. This was compounded by the fact that when sitting in the water looking at thousands of people on the pier, you can do nothing but wait. The whole time, the crowd is cheering and partying, waiting for the first sailor to come off the boat.

Actually, that is second. First was the same event, seeing my wife for the first time in 6 months, then seeing that my mother came to see me as well. The two of them hated each other before that, so seeing them together welcoming me home was a very heartwarming experience.

Who says war can't bring people together? 🙂

Well, considering a pregnancy due date of mid-late November, I imagine you all are well aware of at least one thing that must have occurred.

If you're not, the only clue I'll give is that because of it, Elizabeth is continually fighting off OT postings...and no, NOT JUST FROM ME.... 😉

Stepping on stage, seeing everyone stand like a bunch of bricks, and when we started to play I got headrushed shook like hell and just grabbed the moment, spilling lyrics like it was my 2nd nature, everything just connected and the crowd felt the vibe...

Like the rest of the night everyone just got all over us with compliments and asking if we had a demo...

Around midnight I had to go home and went to bed... It took me over an hour to just get the rush of adrenaline out of my body before I could actually sleep
