OO in PHP4

Hi all,

I have recently been looking into Object Orientated PHP. The reason for this is because I don't like using a lot of includes, but am I right in thinking that you have to include the class file anyway which contains all the functions. So what is the difference, in regards to speed for the server?

Also does anyone know any good tutorials about using the OO side of PHP 4 and/or some advice on how you have used it in the past.

I don't think speed is the issue - it's a case of creating code which is extendable and re-usable on a wide variety of data sets, thus avoiding re-inventing the wheel every time.

As far as I'm aware, using OOP in PHP might even slow processing speed by an infinitessimally small amount.

However, I'm no expert on OOP.
