sending email using php -

Hi, this might be very routine for many of you but I am very new to php and need some step by step advice.

I am trying to email data from an html form.
the 'action' method of my form will call a php file (eg. process.php)
and the process.php file will send the data to an email address.

How do I do this? or
Can you point me to where I can research the solution?
Is there another way of doing this?

Assuming you haven't done so already - just look at the mail() function in PHP to see how to send an email the simple way. A more complex solution would be to use the awesome PHPmailer module - search Google/SF for it.
