Well then...if hta is an IE only extension, why even use it? It only makes sense to use html which works in all browsers. I guess the only thing that hta is good for is if you want to force your users to use IE.
Now the only thing I see wrong with your code below that may cause problems, is this:
(href="javascript:history.go(-1)")
Should have an "A" in front of href. I don't know if this was a typo or not.
