I looked into it a while back, and it seems to me it was pretty pricey. I believe you can get a free trial issue though- if you haven't looked at that, you might want to. I'm not a big fan of downloading and printing off a magazine myself, for some strange reason I like the traditional medium of a hard copy zine. But that's just my personal preference. 🙂

    What I'd like to see is a magazine on CD. There used to be a bunch of software companies that put out their demo games, and you could get compilation CDs with about 20 demos on them. I'd like to see the same thing done with PHP articles, scripts, etc.

    As for PHP|Arch, I don't know how good it is, but I'd say try it before you buy it, as the above suggestion...suggests. 🙂
    I've heard some good things about it, but not a whole lot of overall "gossip" about it.

      I work for php|a. Just wanted to mention a couple of things--

      1) we do have a free issue available for download, so that you can decide whether php|a is for you

      2) if you feel that a subscription is too expensive, you can buy individual issues. The charge is only about $2.19 US.

        I thought the price was quite reasonable, especially when we have to pay between £4-£6 (about $5-$8) for our computer magazines here in the UK and it's hard to find one on PHP.

        I would be interested to find out where I can get this free taster copy?
