i am set up a glossary and want to high light the search terms in the results page.

I am building up a glossary and have the search function, search by the term.

I would like to return the search results in one page but high light the search term in the result page.

what i would use is

$results=str_replace("$seach_term", "<b>$search_term</b>", $results);

My problem is that

If the $search_term is "car", my approach will only highlight the word "car", but i want to hight light all the words such as car, CAR, Car or even cAr, CaR ...

How could I do that?
