Problem viewing php pages on mac

okay, we are having a very strange problem and are hoping someone can point us in the right direction.

some of our php scripts are having this problem....they work fine on pc's running internet explorer 5, 6 and netscape 4.7, 6, and 7....however, on macintoshes running netscape 4.7....none of the scripts seem to be passing the correct variables...i don't understand how this is happening, since php is server side...

so basically if we are passing var's through the http...like...http://blahblah.com/myscript.php?var="here is some text", it doesn't pass that correctly...but only on macs running netscape 4.7...??? also seems to have problems with special characters, etc. tried using htmlspecialchars and all that, with no luck.

anyone have any idea what may be going on here?

dont put quotes in a URL, you dont need them in a URL.

As you said, php is server said so the problem is not php code syntax. I would say the problem has to do with your HTML output. There are lots of differences in browser versions that cause the same HTML code to display differently. What I would do is view the source(client side, from the browser, not the php source) of the page that gets displayed and check for HTML code errors.
