ya, it makes sense...
i was going to try and find u a tutorial but i got lazy and quit lookin lol...
lemee give u an idea and u can build off it.
say you have 4 menu different pages you want to display...
Home, Services, About Us, Contact Us
you want to have a header.php and maybe a footer.php
in your header, let's include the menu and all the content you want in the menu, therefore eliminating the need to worry about passing variables for your menu.
so in your header.php we'll write it like this ...
// header.php //
<html><body> // you really don't need html and body tags but i was bored
<center>
<table>
<tr>
<td><a href="index.php">Home</a></td>
<td><a href="services.php">Services</a></td>
<td><a href="aboutus.php">About Us</a></td>
<td><a href="contactus.php">Contact Us</a></td>
</tr>
</table>
</center>
</body>
</html>
and in your index.php file:
// index.php //
<html><body>
<? include_once("header.php"); ?>
currently you are visiting the 'Home' page.
</body></html>
so in essence, in your finished project...
along the top of your index.php file
you should see a menu with 4 links to the 4 different parts of your site, with a link to each one of them...
so say in your services page it would look almost similar to index just with different content:
// services.php //
<html><body>
<? include_once("header.php"); ?>
currently you are visiting the 'Services' page.
</body></html>
hope that helps a little more
