What kind of music do you like?

Well I like rap and hip-hop mainly! 😃
So I started a rap site lol. It's just to help me learn PHP but anyone who likes rap or doesn't can join. Please give me suggestions and such and it will be very appreciated! Thanks!

PHP-wise, I don't see anything wrong, which is a good thing. However, I didn't test the system all that well (as a good measure, you should always try to beat your own system).

On design, I can only make these few comments:

• Ditch the iframe--not only are these not compliant with a ton of browsers, they are rather annoying. You can't scroll down on them with a mousewheel unless your mousewheel is over them, or if you have focus on it.

• Stick with either thick borders, no borders, or thin borders on your tables. There is a thin-border on the login box because you are missing a table field (the <td> after the login button).

• Change the colors of the buttons--the light text on a light background makes it appear disabled.

Also, look at the header() function if you want to know how to redirect someone (for instance, when logging in), rather than telling them that they logged in correctly.

I agree about the site, although my own site has iframe as wel shame on me

I like rap (none of that "all about the blingbling" kinda rap), hip-hop, some dance / trance like stuff (faithless / moby...from moby not everything), Punk (Oy!Oy!Oy!), nu-metal, Some dutch bands (who no one will know here) some golden oldies, 60-70ties music (Not one artist in peticular), Old movie-music (timespan of 1920 - 1960). Bands in paticular I like: Counting crows, Matchbox 20, Dido, Racoon (NL), Green Lizard (NL), Brainpower (NL), NOFX, Rancid, Nirvana, Soulfly, Staind, Korn, Aretha Franklins, Skindread (heard 2 songs of them, never found their CD N-E where though 🙁 but they kick ass, are barely known and they make reggea-metal 🆒) Cypress Hill, Blof (NL), Linkin Park, Deftones, some songs of Genisis (I don't like Phil Collins solo though), the queens of the stone age and ofcourse the almighty band, the king of the crops, the creme de la creme, the almighty, superb band EEJIT (my own band 😃 lol)

OMG I like so much music, just not those annoying little boybands and well most rap and most country, oh and techno... other than that as long as the band doesn't suck I will listen to it! 🙂 Mostly listen to metal tho! Speaking of, going to go listen to some now! 🙂

I like packaged or commercial rap as long as the rapper talks about at least one of the following.

-how much money he has or his expensive possessions(cars, homes, etc.)
-how many women he has sex with and how attractive these women are
-how easily he can physically injure and/or kill someone and how difficult it would be to do the same to him

So I guess I like 90% of rap. Jay-Z is awesome!

mordecai thanks for the tips about my site...i know the iframe is annoying and it is only temporary until i get my new layout. As for the borders and buttons...i really suck at css so im gonna have to work on that...and for the redirection to the site...already done 🙂

alternative rock. Some bands I like: third eye blind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eats World, Green Day, Blink 182 (that sorta thing). I also like rap, and acoustic like John Mayer and DEFINATELY Dave Matthews Band.

Take your pick... I got almost anything for all tastes...

In an interview I saw last year with Britney, she was asked what was meant by "not that innocent" in the song Oops I Did it Again. To refresh your memory (and to get the song stuck in your heads):

To me, bubble-gumminess aside, the lyrics are not that bad. Of course, it's about a girl that keeps looking for the "perfect" relationship, and tramples on everyone she is with in the process.

So, anyway, back to the interview. When Britney was asked what the song meant to her, she had a blank look on her face. So, they asked her what she meant by "I'm not that innocent." She said "Well... I'm not" and tried to put a dirty look on her face that ended up looking like Zoolander.

Needless to say, in that moment, I lost any shred of respect I had for her and any other manufactured pop star. If you're gonna sing the songs, at least pretend to know what the words mean, for pete's sake.

Anyway, I like all kinds of music. I like some rap (just heard Rapper's Delight about 20 minutes ago), techno, classical, and swing. Anything that makes me unconciously tap my foot is ok -- even some pop music.

Coincidentally, "Kung Fu Fighting" just came on, on Music Choice (cable music rules!). Talk about your guilty pleasure! 😃 Just before that song? Ice, Ice, Baby.

Gotta love those channels - I'm with ya Buzz- they rock! 😃 I believe #521 (80s) & #522 (New Wave) are my favorites. 521 is the 80s channel, right? No commercials and you get a nice little rotating trivia blurb about the currently playing artist. What else could you want?
