phpMyAdmin

Do you recommend using phpMyAdmin when working with php to set up databases (I think it does that).

I've worked on some code for a generic news updating system I can cut and paste into the sites I do and was wondering if this would be an easy way to setup the database.

why not?

If phpMyAdmin helps you work with mysql databases more easily, use it.

MyAdmin is great. It really comes in handy during the developement stage of your applications, when you need to delete a faulty row or add a column quickly.

I was really having a struggle getting to terms with MySQL databases until I started using phpMyAdmin. Now I have no problems.... plus you can get it to teach you how to write query stuff correctly.
