Instead of echo "Sorry, no results were found..."; how can I tell it to be a variable....like $logresult

No, what I am looking for is if
$display = Log
than log becomes a variable like $logresult or something.....

this way if I

echo $logresult;

the output is Log

See, my $display can be many different things....

The goal is so I can place $logresult in a table....or $***result, etc....
