Need help with PHP and Flash

I have a mysql database and am using PHP throughout my site to access the database. On the homepage however there is a Flash nav bar that also needs to be updated through the database. All I need to update on the Flash nav bar are a couple of simple variables, a date and location.

If anyone could help me out with this that would be great.

I recentely finished building a site with dynamic content in Flash. I let my PHP-script generate XML, the Flash-file calls this PHP-script and translates the XML to visible content. Flash MX rules 😃
