regexp quick help

Hi!

I understand enough of regexps to know that

ereg_replace( "[^[:alnum:]]", "", $subject );

will strip all non-alpha and non-numeric characters.

My question is, how do I strip all non-alpha and non-numeric EXCEPT for the hyphen?

just put a hyphen after the alnum part.

ereg_replace( "[^{[:alnum:]-]",} "", $subject );
