I just installed a new script that requires register_globals and magic_quotes_gpc to be be on in PHP.
On my host server (PHP 4.2.2) they are. NO probs.
On my local PC (PHP 4.2.3), they WERE both off. I changed them both in the php.ini file to ON.
A subsequent check with phpinfo shows register_globals now on, but magic_quotes_gpc still off!!
Do I have to switch another variable on as well to switch magic_quotes_gpc on?
