Hi,

I would like to count chars in a string. I would simply like to know how many chars a string contain.

The funktion is a guess in php count_char, but I don't really understand from the manual how this function works. Anybody can give me a hunch how to count words??

You need to use strlen( $string ).
It returns the number of chars.
