quick question:
i need to be able to get long month names from the month date, so 06 = June etc, is it going to be easier for me to write my own funtion to do this or is it possible to utilise the date() funtion to do it for me?

See, dead simple, just want some advice or pointers as to whether their's any pitfalls either way.
