One php file for mulitple html files

I need help, I have a large file I want to break into multiple sections can I use one php file for mulitple html files? If so how would I go about it?

Need you to expand on your Question. in php its possible to include mutiple php subpages into a single page that is seen on the screen. if that is what you are looking for check out http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.include.php also consult the php manual at http://www.php.net/manual/en/ for it has multiple references of interest to you

includes sound like what you're talking about.. here's a quick run down.. say you have 4 parts of a page that are consecutivly big.

a.html
b.html
c.html
d.html

you'd rather not have them all in one html file so in a file called whatever.. let's make it index.php it would look like this:

<html><body>
this is my page about "a": 
<? include ('a.html'); ?> 
this is my page about "b": 
<? include ('b.html'); ?> 
this is my page about "c": 
<? include ('c.html'); ?> 
this is my page about "d": 
<? include ('d.html'); ?>

and the manual will probly have more examples as well

Very simple:

if($_GET['page'] == "about") 
{
    include("./about.html");
} 
elseif ($_GET['page'] == "contact") 
{
    include("./contact.html");
} 
elseif ($_GET['page'] == "other") 
{
    include("./other.html");
}

.. then you can call the pages like:

index.php?page=about
index.php?page=contact
index.php?page=other

.. and so on.
