combining loops

I have a loop that needs to use information from 2 different queries. I can create the two loops individually

LOOP ONE

while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($results)) {

LOOP TWO

while ($i < $num) {

I think I just need to merge the two WHILE statements together, how do I do that?

It depends what you what to do.
You can't merge 2 different loops just like that, but you might need something like this:

$i = 0;
while($row = mysql_fetch_fow()) {
    // do some stuff
    $i++;
    if($i>$max)
        break;
}

Or why not to merge those database querys with JOIN statement etc...

neon, thanks very much for the info, the only reason I needed to Merge the loops was for layout reasons, but I figured oout away to get it to look right with html tables.

I really need to head to the php manual, and read up about that JOIN command you mentioned, thanks again for your help!
