Counting Values that are same

Hey

I have an array filled with values. I want to have them sorted, by how many that are the same, .. etc etc..

it's a statistics script. So I can't do fixed values for where each ip is this or that .. count how many of this or that.

know what I mean?

so listing one week of IP's collect.. could look like this:

12.12.13.123 - Monday
34.34.34.43 - Monday
75.234.23.4 - Tuesday
1.24.15.5 - Wednesday
57.23.62.1 - Wednesday
45.34.5.4 - Wednesday
45.43.4.1 - Thursday
82.62.5.54 - Friday
65.245.6.4 - Saturday
3.4.34.3 - Sunday
and so on.

So that means.. on Monday I had 2 unique visitors. On Tuesday 1, wednesday 3, thur 1, fri 1, sat 1, sun 1..

so, depending on hits per day, them sorted out like that.

So... are the days of the week the associative keys into the array of IP addresses? Or, to put it another way, how do you associate the day of the week with the IP address?

umh, well.. not sure if I get ya..

but here's what my database structure looks like.. All fields are full..

IP, TIME, URL, AGENT, REFERER

.. so what i wanna do is, list each day, with the number of hits and uniques...

So... where is the day (or date) in the database? You've got time... is that a date/time field?

yah, it's numbers. that I need to format in order to get the name of the day and so on.
