Questions About Sessions

I have a few questions about sessions I hope someone (as in a member...not as in another website) could help me out with. I'd really appreciate this help!

1)To access a session, I know I have to start it on everypage I want the session information available. If I submit a form without any input tag with the session id...will it still be the same session id on the next page if I start the session on the page the form redirects to?

2)Is it required to pass the session id in links (such as index.php?sid=Session ID here) and/or forms (<input name="sid" type="hidden" value="Session ID here">)..or will it remember the same user wether or not i pass it (like i asked in the first question)

3)If I do have to pass it along in a form/url, why is this?

4)If I don't, how come some site I goto have ?sid=session here in their url?

I'd really appreciate your help...I've tried tutroials yet they don't answer that question...or i missed it somewhere. Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else 🙁

1) Session is still the same on every page you start it with session_start().

2) It's not required to pass the Session ID along, it will remember the same user.

3) You do not have to pass the sid along, because PHP is doing that for you as you can see, it justs puts ?sid=PHPSESSIONID ater your URLs
