Is the email treated as a spam mail?

Hi,
i have some question regarding Email.

My email code has successfully sent an email to shelbytll@companyname.com. There were no error. However at the client side, the client did not receive it. I was wondering could be that it has been treated as a spam mail. Some email server perform check such as, the domain of this email does not tally with the sender email or something like that and thus treated as a spam mail. is this possible?

If the server you are sending from/through is listed as a spam relay it may be treated as spam. Most likely, it is a malformed message which is not being delivered and not being returned either. If you care to post code details, I will try to help.

Also, you say "successfully sent" but "the client did not receive it". Are you running the mail server and can confirm the message is being relayed?

Hi,
the email script was downloaded. So i don't really know which portion and copy and paste for you.

I'm sure it was successfully sent because initially, the smtp server was "192.168.42.6" which our own exchange server. Then the error pop up saying about not able to relay. So I change smtp server to "mail.singnet.com.sg" and then there was no error.

When i send to other email address such as yahoo.com it's ok. One of the not ok one is moe.edu.sg.

I tried to look at the Full Header of my yahoo mail. It says:
Received: from shelby ([203.125.147.90]) by smtp15.singnet.com.sg

shelby is my computer name. I don't really know 203.125.147.90 is what IP address. Our domain IP is 202.166.39.27. Is it coz they don tally that why some email server treat it as spam mail?

Both of those IPs belong to singtel.com.sg (one's magix.com.sg, but it's the same company).

As for your problem, I'm not sure. If it were spam, it might be blocked by your POP server (or whatever you use for mail), which would make sense as to why you don't get it.
