[Resolved] Getting new lines into mail body via mailto?

I have a link which allows the user to mail their wishlist to a friend. I build the mail body and then insert it into a mailto like this

<a href="?subject=<?=$mail_subject?>&body=<?=$mail_body?>">Mail Someone</a>

Now, the problem I am having is that the newlines in the variable $mail_body are showing up in the html source but not getting passed to the email body. Is there some special code for a new line which I have to put into $mail_body?

No luck, seems to be on the right line though. I did a little script to run through from 10 to 99 but to no avail.
Any more ideas?

I've confused hex and decimal number !!!!

Try this %0A%0D (= 10 & 13 in decimal... 🙂 )

It remove this char (even %%0A change to just % !?!)

May be the problem is that the mailer are html too and don't revert /r/n to <br>, but just delete it ! and if you put <br> it write < instead of < .... I don't have any solution...
