Slow Load on Macs

At work we are using php to include a few simple things (header, footer, etc.) so I set up Apache2 / PHP 4.3.2. For some reason when you view the site on a Mac 9.x it loads slow, Windows loads just fine. What I notice happens is when I hit enter the page starts to load, the title shows up etc, then stops. Were it stops is about the spot where the first include is located. After about 10 seconds the page completely loads, the other includes go fine. At first I though it was our old server but I just set up our new server and we get the same results. I'm testing this internaly on our LAN. Anyone having this problem or know anything about it? Any help would be great! Thanks

My guess is you are using IE 5.x for the mac? It's a dog and there is no way to fix it. It's equally bad (and BUGGY) on OS 10.x.

IE 5 on PC would load one of my pages in 2-3 seconds that IE 5 on Mac (even on a fast mac) would take 20-30 seconds to load. Dialup on a PC was significantly faster than a Mac on broadband.

I recommend that my Mac sys9 users use Netscape 7. Netscape 7 is about as fast as IE on the PC...7-12 times faster than IE 5 for Mac.

Free download, etc. VERY fast, even faster than safari if you use compressed output.
