What should I do?!!!

Hey,

I'm starting a gaming website called, got-game. Anyway Its going to be full of articles, walkthroughs, and more stuff and i want like any webmaster for it to be easy to update.

I want to get or code a script that will allow me to have a good way to update my articles, reviews, previews, and codes without having to go in and edit the html. If you know any good php scripts that will allow me to do this that would be sweet.

Also I want to have a login system where users will have their own profiles and can have a membership to the site.

I have scimmed through learn php in 24 hours about 6 months ago and it reminded me a lot like basic C++. I know the basics and some intermediate stuff with C and I am good with software engineering. So if you can help me out and point me in the right direction I would be grateful!

basically what u are looking for is a content management system. you could go to hotscripts.com and take a look and customize them or write new code learning from the code already posted

I started 4 months ago with a tutorial from here

The two i got the most from was "php from the ground up" and "PHP/MySQL Tutorial."

If you are good at understanding what you are seeing and learn well by example its a good place to strart. I used many of their examples and modified them heavily to do what i wanted them to.

Anyhow if you are going to be changing or adding to a site on a regular basis mysql and php is the way to go in my book. Also these two will handle your login task very easily as well.

Hope this point your in the right direction.

Yea thanks Ill take a look at some of those tutorial and read that book I read again. Then start doing some stuff. I want to eventually have a site like www.ign.com or something massive like that.

Anyway it will take awhile and Im gonna work hard on it.
