change global variables. dynamic link to static

I posted yesterday about changing a dynamic url so that the receiving system reads is as a static url.

Is it possible to change the global variables.

So maybe the page you are on is something like http://mysite.com/index.php?th=253

but you can you have it so when you go to another page, the computer reads the referring page as http://www.mysite.com/index.php

Maybe set $_SERVER['REFFERER'] = 'http://www.mysite.com/index.php';

I know I'm way off, but I really need this.

Nope, not possible with PHP. The REFERER element is set by the client's browser and nothing can change it.

ok. so any ideas on this.

I'm brain fried on this one.

I'll explain again what I need:

I have a credit card processing system: LinkPoint (They suck if you are looking for one).

You login to an admin on Linkpoint, and you have to specify what the referring url will be. You can't just a folder, but you have to type out the EXACT URL as it will be when you go from your page to the LinkPoint site. NO dynamic pages in other words.

My page however is dynamic. It has a ton of variables at the end of it. I'm not using a form to pass the values and I don't look forward to rewriting everything.

So what I need, is a way (without the use of url masking) to make the LinkPoint system to see the referring url as not dynamic even though it is.

if you aren't trying to pass any variables to them in the URL, then you can always make all the links point to a page that does nothing but redirect to their site. That way, the referring url is always this page that you set up just for this purpose.

If you have to pass any variables to them, then I don't know how they could ever expect this to be usable.

I KNOW!!! THAT'S WHY THE SUCK.

I suspect they want you to use a form which if you used a form, then, yes, I could see how the url could always be the same. But in my case, I'm screwed.
