Let's get a noobie FAQ together???

I'm sure that we've discussed this, or mentioned it, or glazed over it a coupla dozen times around here, if ever...

Isn't it time we get one together? And sticky it at the top of the Newbie forum, and title it "Answers to common problems" or "Read this before posting" or somesuch, in ALL CAPS, so that people who don't know the acronym FAQ might, just might, be more predisposed to reading it....

#1 should be "register globals=off", eh?

Oh, and not to minimize anyone else's work, like Bunkermaster, for example. I know I've seen something like this in the Coding forum, I think, that he wrote. But I was just over in Newbies and didn't see one. And Pyro was complaining that he'd answered four seperate posts dealing with "why are my variables empty" this afternoon...

Yup thats a good one to start off with..

Then $SERVER, $POST, $_GET etc

I could probably think of heaps.. But thats good to start off with.

Here's a start. It's Windoze text (sorry ?) and includes tags to use in the event we post it to the forum.

How 'bout some collaboration? Feel free to add or edit ... I've no emotional stake in my own shoddy work 🙂
