yes. If i'm not mistaken, the format is
mysql_connect("x.xx.xxx.xxx:3306", "user", "pass") or die(mysql_error());
Where the x's represent the IP, and the 3306 represents the port. However I think the port isn't required. 3306 is the default port. Unless it's different, i think you can leave the colon and the 3306 out. Give it a try and see how it works.
